Get ready for summer camps at Wonderscope Children’s Museum! Our resident hamsters, Sam and Max, are back at it with another fun-filled summer of discovery. We’ll start off the summer with a splash! Wonderscope’s Wild and Wacky Water camp includes fun water
experiments at the museum and ends up at Shawnee’s newest city pool, Spash Cove. Then blast off for seven full
weeks of fabulous camps! Our KA-BOOM! Hands-on Science Camps include 3-2-1 Blast Off!, Rainforest Adventure, Water,
Water--It's EVERYWHERE!, Box City at Wonderscope, and Go Green! . In July, Wonderscope teams up with Theatre for
Young America for the art and science of drama with the Express Yourself! Drama Camp. Then top of the summer with
messy, crazy and creative activities in KerSPLAT! Integrated Arts Camp and a half day version of KABOOM! These are
awesome camps for curious kids, full of hands-on, minds-on learning and fun.
No sitting around at these camps! Active kids will stay engaged in learning through fun activities with awesome camp counselors and our special guests including David Nieves/Reptiles Up Close and Personal, Brian Wendling's Juggling, Martin City Melodrama JR, Paul Mesner Puppets, Bonbo Barry, Kids Yoga, Theatre for Young America, and much, much more. Campers start the day at Wonderscope with the chance to experience “KABOOM Science Spot” activities incorporated into museum exhibit areas. After a short outdoor walk, the rest of the day is spent in KABOOM learning sessions. Plan on exercising your problem solving skills and creativity too as you learn about science through some cool art experiences ... including the creation of a giant mural for the museum that’s all about camp fun! As a special treat, all campers will have the chance to enjoy reserved time in Wonderscope’s newest exhibit area, LEGO Ocean Adventure, and exploring the cosmos and checking out the stars as they crawl into our StarLab inflatable planetarium!
