Education Enjoy Field Trips at Wonderscope! Come enjoy our great hands-on exhibits with your students -- learning and play experiences that
encourage creative exploration, discovery, critical thinking and curiosity. Children learn faster and retain
information longer when learning through play. There is nothing like play to spark a child’s imagination and
curiosity.
Our interactive exhibits and our educational programming are designed to support your classroom curriculum and align with Mid-Continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL) National Standards. A great match! Our experiences build upon children’s fundamental need to learn-by-doing -- fully engaging their senses and challenging their minds. After a brief orientation, your group will enjoy a play-filled, hands-on, self-guided exploration of Wonderscope’s ten interactive exhibits. As your students explore our museum environment, you can expand their interests with a museum educator-facilitated Focus Field Trip option. These are exhibit-based enhancements, and pre- and post-visit materials continue the experience into your classroom. Indoor and outdoor picnic areas are available for reservation at no additional fee—a great lunch or
snack time option before or after your trip! This site will provide you with additional information on options
available to you and your students at the museum and at your school, great new curriculum ideas, and classroom
expansions and extensions!
